The Environmental Firebox was originally envisioned by world-renowned canoeist Bill Mason. He gave the idea to Ric Driediger at Churchill River Canoe Outfitters, who requested Al Bergen build it for him – and the idea became reality.
This folding firebox is ideal for the environmentally conscious canoeist, fisherman, or outdoor enthusiast. This firebox opens almost every possibility for where you can have a fire.
The Environmental Firebox is lightweight. It folds down and fits into a robust fabric envelope for easy transport.
Simply place the Environmental Firebox on some rocks to prevent leaving a fire-scar, even on thick moss. When ice-fishing, setting the Environmental Firebox on a couple of small boards will prevent the ice from melting underneath it and extinguishing the fire.
For these reasons, we call it The Environmental Firebox.
